The Panther Valley School Board on Thursday approved contracts with the district's superintendent and business manager.

Superintendent Rosemary Porembo will earn a salary of $107,120 for the 2012-13 school year, retroactive to July 1.Business manager Kenneth Marx Jr. will earn $75,480.46 for the year, also retroactive to July 1.In a related matter, the board also approved Marx's new contract, which runs to June 30, 2015.In other matters Thursday, the board:• Approved an unpaid leave of absence for elementary school Principal William Lombardo, effective Oct. 11 through Aug. 20, 2013;• Approved the hiring of attorney Cynthia Ray at $80 an hour;• Approved the installation of water and electric service at the new transportation office at $10,000 each;• Agreed, by a split vote, to make the football stadium available for playoff games at a fee of $3,000 for the 2012-2013 year.
