Amy Lynn Rickert, daughter of Jack and Karen Rickert of Bethany, Pa., and Ryan Hnat, son of Joe and Mary Hnat of Coaldale, were united in marriage on July 7, 2012 at the Marion Chapel at Marywood University.

The Rev. Brian Van Fossen officiated the double ring ceremony. Vocalists were the Rev. Jim and Susie Corbin of Honesdale.Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Kelly Rickert of Bethany to be her maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Katie Robinson of Bethany and Susie Lake of Richmond, Va.Kyle Hnat of Newton Ransom, Pa. served as best man. Ushers included Joe Hnat of Melbourne, Fla. and Cory Hnat of Wayne, Pa.The couple greeted family and friends at a reception held at the Montdale Country Club in Montdale, Pa.They honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico.Prenuptial parties for the couple included a rehearsal dinner at J.J. Bridges in Clarkes Summit, Pa.The new Mrs. Hnat earned a bachelor of fine arts and a master of fine arts in interior architecture from Marywood University.She is an interior designer with Hnat Designs.Mr. Hnat holds a bachelor of science in art education from Penn State University and a master of fine art in painting from Marywood University.He is employed as an art educator in the Scranton School District and is also owner of Hnat Designs.The newlyweds currently reside in Scranton.
