A vehicle stop in Lehighton led to the arrest of a Monroe County man on drug counts with a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) pending.
State police at Lehighton said Bryan Hildebrant, 37, of Kunkletown, was stopped about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, along SR443. He was stopped for an inoperable headlight and tailight.
At the time Hilderbrant was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI of a controlled substance.
Information gathered led troopers to secure a search warrant for Hildebrant's home at 8971 W. Sherwood Drive, in the Robinhood Lakes development, in Polk Township, Monroe County.
The search resulted in troopers finding a methamphetamine lab in the residence.
Hildebrant has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing of a controlled substance, and possession of precursors to manufacture a controlled substance. He was lodged in the county prison in Snydersville on the drug counts.
The DUI charge in Carbon County is pending blood test results, troopers added.
