State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes investigated by troopers, both occurring on Friday, Sept. 28.
The first crash occurred about 11 a.m. along Bethel Road in Pine Grove Township. Troopers said Kelly June Carroll, 62, of Lititz, Lancaster County, was northbound and negotiating a left curve when she lost control of her 1992 Buick Regal. The car then spun counter-clockwise before going onto the berm and then crossing both lanes of travel. The car came to rest off the road against an embankment.
Carroll and her passenger, Thomas James Cox Jr., 56, of Monroeton, Bradford County, were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
The second crash occurred about 6:20 p.m. along Schuylkill Mountain Road, in South Manheim Township. Troopers said John O. Davis, 37, of Schuylkill Haven, was operating a 2003 Honda CR-V eastbound and attempting to negotiate a left curve when he lost control. The vehicle traveled into the westbound lane with Davis attempting to steer it back to the eastbound lane.
The vehicle left the road and struck a embankment, then crossed both lanes of travel while turning clockwise, and impacting a ditch on the opposite side of the road and overturning, coming to rest in the ditch on the passenger side.
David was not injured. He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
