Delaware River Shad Fisherman's Association will hold its 6th annual Youth Fishing Education Day from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at Blue Mountain Fish and Game Club. The event is rain or shine and is limited to the first 100 students ages 8 to 15 years old. Trophies are awarded for fishing contests.

The event is sponsored by Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Carbon County Environmental Education Center, Lehigh Valley Canoe Club, Trout Unlimited and Leaser Lake Heritage Foundation.
