A four-day show complete with exhibits and rides will soon take center stage in Palmerton.
From Thursday through Sunday, the Crusaders For A Cause Carnival will be held in the borough park. Hours are 6-10 p.m. Thursday, 5-11 Friday, 4-11 Saturday, and 2-7 Sunday.
Thursday and Sunday are Kids Ride Special Day and will feature a rides discount. A duck race will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday.
There will also be live entertainment each day that will be headlined by Fret Prodigy Studios of Palmerton, as well as crafting vendors, food vendors, and Christina's Reptile & Animal Sanctuary.
Tony Oriolo, owner/instructor of Fret Prodigy Studios, said there will be five bands and a DJ that will provide entertainment.
They will include DJ Stevie on Thursday, Rehab X and The Leaders of the Press on Friday, Senile Delinquents on Saturday, and Modern Day Mollys and Barcode on Sunday.
The seventh annual event is shaping up to be a real success, according to Christina Obrecht, president of Crusaders For A Cause.
"Hopefully, we'll get a lot of people out this year; the weather looks like it's going to cooperate for us," Obrecht said. "We hope to get everybody out and support us; and, of course, have fun."
Proceeds from this year's event will go toward various local charities, Obrecht said.
Crusaders For A Cause was incorporated in May, 2009, under the Non-Profit Corporation Law of 1988 as amended, to help raise money for various charities.
Those charities include Relay For Life/American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, March of Dimes, and many other community causes or projects.
