A teen was fatally injured when the car he was a passenger in crashed Thursday afternoon.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the accident occurred about 5:30 p.m. along Deep Creek Road in Barry Township.
The teen, age 17, was ejected from the car when it crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police the driver was identified as Dillon K. Doyle, 18, of Hegins. Troopers said he lost control of the car and flipped over onto its roof, where it came to rest.
Doyle was injured but his injuries were termed non-life threatening. He was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
