The Western Pocono Community Library (WPCL) is hoping to get mobbed sometime in August. But they're going to need your help. They are looking for at least 50 people to become part of the mob.
A Flash Mob, that is.
A flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place to perform a song or choreographed dance for a brief time, then disperse, for the purpose of entertainment, satire, and artistic expression.
"If anyone would like to participate, we'd love to have them. The moves will be simple and easy to learn. We will have rehearsals throughout June and July. The Mob will happen one night in August. It is open to all ages," says Patti Weiss, WPCL Circulation Desk Manager/Cataloging Manager.
If interested, please contact Patti at 570-992-7934 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. She needs a head count by May 19.
Also, mark your calendars for the Summer Reading Program, which is scheduled to begin June 12 through Aug. 23.
There will be something for all ages.
