The Carbon County Interagency Council (IAC) announced that there is still time to submit applications for a $500 Social Services Grant.
This is open to all agencies who meet the guidelines of the council's mission statement and who serve any population of Carbon County. IAC's mission statement is to "increase and promote the quality of human services in the community."
The purpose is to develop a better knowledge of existing agencies and service, as well as to provide support and education for member agencies and Individuals. This grant can be used for any existing programs or any new programs that your agency may have and is a one-time payment.
To receive an application, please email the IAC at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the agency secretary, Larissa Kimmel at 610-377-0773, ext. 3621. There is a $15 application fee due with the submission of the application to non-members of the IAC.
This application fee will also serve as a one year membership to the Interagency Council.
The deadline to submit an application is Friday March 30. Completed applications can be sent to IACC, C/O 2012 Grant Application, PO Box 284, Lehighton, PA 18235.
Please note that the applications will reviewed by an independent panel, separate from the IAC.
The grant recipient will be notified the week of April 23. The presentation of the grant will occur at the IAC Third Annual Legislative Brunch to be held on April 27 at the Lehighton Recreation Center.
