Fire company drive

Diligence Fire Company No. 1, Summit Hill, is in the midst of its 2012 fund drive.

This is the company's main source of revenue and helps the firemen pay loans associated with its trucks, as well as to provide the apparatus necessary to have a fully-equipped fire service.

The donations can be mailed to the company in the envelope provided in the recent mailing, or they can be dropped off at John's Auto Repair or the office of the borough secretary.

In addition to the donations, the company is asking townspeople to return the survey information cards that were included in the mailing.

This helps the firemen properly identify residents needs in the case of a response.
