Firefighters were busy Wednesday afternoon battling a brush fire along the Tree I.D. walking path in the Beltzville State Park. The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. Fire companies from Franklin Township and Parryville responded as well as two unit of the Department of Forestry. The fire was centered in a large group of pines between the lake and Pohopoco Drive. Firemen were on the scene for an hour.
