During this time of financial difficulty, every girl deserves a chance to attend her prom dressed like a princess.

"Belle of the Ball," a community outreach partnership project of Zion Lutheran Church and Tamaqua Area High School staff, seeks donations of gently-used gowns, shoes and jewelry. The items will then be distributed free of charge.Items will be collected on Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at Zion Lutheran Church on Mauch Chunk and Greenwood streets.Please use the upper door on Greenwood Street.Gowns, shoes and jewelry will be distributed on Friday, March 16 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.For more information, contact Deb Davies at (570) 668-4554 or Gwen Evans at (570) 668-0666.
