Lehighton police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made recently.

Police said Christopher Malick, 41, of 217 Honeysuckle Lane, Lehighton, has been charged with DUI, driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed, and failing to yield to right-of-way when making a left turn.

The incident occurred about 1:20 a.m. on March 28 at the intersection of Bridge and E. Bridge sts. Given a test, the result was .14BAC.

John Pool, 54, of 336 Iron St., Lehighton, is facing DUI, careless driving, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, and failing to have complaint rear lighting equipment.

The incident occurred about 12:25 a.m. Police did not indicate the location. Given a test, the result was .14BAC.
