Five arrested after road rage incident

Five persons have been arrested following what police called a road rage incident. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred about 11:55 a.m. on June 7 along Pine Hill Road in Mount Pocono.

Police said at the time and location stated they and emergency medical services were dispatched for a reported road rage incident. Police said the incident actually began in Pocono Township and ended in Mount Pocono.Police arrived on scene to find the road rage had occurred along SR611 in front of Colony Auto where Denise Scarlatos, 59, of Stroudsburg, was allegedly cut off by a vehicle operated by Lauren Demarco, 20, of Mount Pocono.Scarlatos followed Demarco 10 miles to her residence in Mount Pocono where an altercation took place in the middle of the street, police said. The two stood in front of Scarlatos' vehicle where Christopher Demarco, 22, who was a passenger with Lauren, pounded on the front hood of Scarlatos' vehicle. When Scarlatos attempted to leave her vehicle ran over Christopher's foot. He refused treatment, police noted.Scarlatos, Lauren Demarco, Zachary Johnson, 19, and Alyssa Santamaria, 20, both of Mount Pocono, and passengers with Demarco, were all charged with disorderly conduct. Christopher Demarco was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
