The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) resumed its summer basketball league at the North and Middle Ward Playground in Tamaqua with a total of eight games being played on Monday and Wednesday evening.

Cuz-N-Joes's Place, Ryan's Oil & Heating and R.R. Frey Services all came out with two wins apiece this week to remain undefeated atop the standings.

MONDAY'S RESULTS

Guerrilla Squad-

Ryan's Oil & Heating

Ryan's Oil & Heating started off this week's action with a close victory over Guerrilla Squad, 49-44.

Joe Schaeffer and Jon Scheuer both scored 12 points apiece for Ryan's with Schaeffer adding three three-pointers in the win.

Dave Wilson scored 18 points to pace Guerrilla Squad.

Schick's Cafe Calcutta-Nemesis Enforcers

Schick's Cafe Calcutta defeated the Nemesis Enforcers by a final score of 55-34.

Chris Decker led the way with 15 points for Schick's and Matt Murphy added three treys.

Mike Borden had eight points to lead the Nemesis Enforcers.

R.R. Frey Services-Jimmy's O's Chicks

R.R. Frey Services turned a three-point halftime lead into a 58-44 victory over Jimmy's O's Chicks.

Danny Miller scored 17 points for R.R. Frey, while Jim Barron and Ryan Achenbach tacked on 12 and 11 points respectively.

Steve Ennis scored 15 points and Jarrad Welikonich added 12 in the loss.

Lucky's Deli-

Cuz-N-Joe's Place

Cuz-N-Joe's Place rallied from a three-point halftime deficit and held Lucky's Deli to just nine points in the second half, en route to a 61-36 victory.

Damian Fritz scored 14 point and Jon Veet chipped in with 12 to lead Cuz-N-Joe's

Nick Reese had eight points for Lucky's Deli.

WEDNESDAY'S RESULTS

Jimmy's O's Chicks-American Hose

American Hose notched its first with of the season with a 64-60 victory over Jimmy O's Chicks.

Mike Conley scored 15 for American Hose. Mike Taylor added 13 points along with three treys in the victory.

Steve Ennis' 19 points topped Jimmy's O's Chicks.

Cuz-N-Joe's Place-

The Batter's Box

Cuz-N-Joe's Place withstood a late Batter's Box rally and hung on for a 66-63 victory.

Jon Veet scored 18 points with Damian Fritz (15) and Brandon DeCosmo (13) close behind for Cuz-N-Joe's.

Bejtullah Mehmeti scored 19 points, while Erick Trabal added 13 points in the loss.

Lucky's Deli-

Ryan's Oil & Heating

After being down by 12 points at the half (31-19), Ryan's Oil & Heating took the lead late in the game (on two back-to-back Joe Schaeffer three-pointers) to come out with a 55-48 victory over Lucky's Deli.

Joe Schaeffer scored 18 points and drained five three-pointers for pace Ryan's, while Ted Styka tacked on 12 points.

Eric Carter had 13 points for Lucky's Deli.

R.R. Frey Services-Nemesis Enforcers

R.R Frey Services posted a 57-52 victory over Nemesis Enforcers.

Danny Miller scored 14 points and Ryan Achenbach tossed in 12 points in R.R. Frey's win.

Mike Borden's 14 points led the way for the Enforcers.
