State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of welding related items from a site near Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township.

Troopers said unknown criminals damaged an entrance gate to the Tarcon Mine site, located off Catawissa Road, just north of Tuscarora, and owned Gale Mining Company.Once on the property the criminals proceeded to steal a large amount of welding related items from a utility truck parked at the location. The most significant items taken was a Miller Bobcat brand gas welding unit, Model NT225, blue in color. Total value of the missing items was estimated at $9,000.The incident occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, and 6 a.m. on Wednesday.The listed victims Richard Degregor, 51, owner, Degregor Welding Company; and David Suender, 54, who leases Tarcon Mine property.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 874-5300.All calls will be kept confidential.
