Local author Gene Duffy, writing under the name of Jozef Rothstein, has written a semi fictional memoir about his life and times working at a Hollywood Jewish Deli while trying to make it as an actor. Duffy will be doing a meet and greet and will sign copies of his books during the Saturday book sale at the Dimmick Friends House on Saturday, July 28, from noon to 4 p.m.

His book, As The Matzo Ball Turns, is full of stories of stars, starlets and agents who came into his life while he was trying to make it as an actor.

The Dimmick Friends House is located at 58 Broadway in downtown Jim Thorpe, two doors up from the library.

For more information, call the library at 325-2131. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Dimmick Memorial Library.
