The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Pennsylvania recently held an Americanism essay contest "How can I show my patriotism in my community." Named first place winner in the Lehighton Legion Auxiliary Unit 314 Americanism Essay Contest, was Geoff Ebbert, son of Neal and Patricia Ebbert, who went on to become a winner in the Four County District contest. He also placed third place in the Department/State Auxiliary contest. Ebbert, right, was presented with a check for his third place win by Gladys Balliet, Unit president.
