A Schuylkill County man, wanted by the county sheriff's department, was apprehended this week following a vehicle stop.

State police at Frackville said Gene A. Parrish, 54, of Shenandoah, was stopped about 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at the intersection of Main and Silver sts., Girardville.At the stop a check was run and it was learned Parrish had a outstanding warrant for his arrest.He was taken into custody and turned over to sheriff deputies, troopers said.
