Tamaqua and Weatherly both dropped boys basketball contests on Monday.

Pottsville-Tamaqua

Pottsville flexed its muscles and rolled to a 60-33 Schuylkill League victory over Tamaqua.

The Tide, now 17-1 on the season, were led by Brandon Bridy's 17 points.

Brett Kosciolek led the Blue Raiders (5-14) with 16 points.

Tamaqua won the JV game, 47-45.

Nativity inched closer to a District 11 Class A playoff berth with a 52-36 win over Weatherly.

The Hilltoppers (9-9) were led by freshman Jeff Yordy's 17 points and Bill Birosik added 12.

Brett Stallone had a team-high 17 for the Wreckers including five three-pointers.

Matt Minchhoff scored a game-high 12 points for the Blue Raiders (14-3) while Zach Coleman and Russel Blaker added 8 a piece.

Weatherly-Tamaqua

Tamaqua downed Weatherly 47-15.
