Eleven area residents were among 35 who were admitted to Schuylkill County's Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition(ARD) probation program, recently.

The ARD program reserved for first offenders who committed a non-violent crime to allow them to work off the charge to clear their name.

District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon made the motion to admit them into the program at a hearing and Senior Judge D. Michael Stine granted the motion and imposed the following conditions. All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Joseph C. Benny, 33, of 213 South St., Tamaqua, on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge was assessed $500 to defray cost of program, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service, attend alcohol highway safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, undergo random screen tests and driver's license suspended 60 days. Benny was cited by Rush Township Patrolman Richard Bekesy, last July 16 on Lafayette Avenue.

Virginia Mary Forker, 37, of 44 James St., Kelayres, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, license suspended 60 days. Cited by Trooper Thomas Powell last August 5 in unit block on James St., Kelayres.

David Andersen Frangioudakis, 23,of 49 E. Abbott St., Lansford, DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, $500 assessment, $100 SAE fud, $50 to CJEA and MCARE funds, $180 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, perform10 hours community service, undergo random screens and license suspended 60 days. He was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse, last April 9 on Number 11 Hill.

Brandon Fritz, 25, of 233 Catawissa St., Tamaqua, involved in accident with car of William Glen at intersection of West Broad and Lehigh sts., Tamaqua, last July 15, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. On charges of failing to stop and give information and careless driving was fined $50 plus $100 costs. Fritz was cited by Patrolman Matthew Houser.

Patricia Ann Headley, 45,of 522 S. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, license suspended 30 days . Headley was cited by Rush Patrolman Richard Bekesy, last April 17 on E. Main St. A charge of failing to obey a person directing traffic was nol prossed.

Aaron Joseph Hosier, 23, of 336 S. Snyder St., Lansford, as an employee took cash from the register at Turkey Hill Mini Mart in Tamaqua, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $530 to the store. Hosier was cited by Col. Henry Woods.

Jason A. Hurley, 27, of 147 Fourth St., Coaldale, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, pay $350 assessment, $50 to CJEA, $100 to SAE fund, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Hurley was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Jeremy Talanca, last June 16 on First and East High sts.

Patricia A. Keita, 53, of 146 Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua, DUI, $500 assessment, $300 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, license suspended 60 days. Keita was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Duarte, last July 24 on Owl Creek Road.

Lisa Lee Kranch, 33, of 69 Hickory Road, Delano, giving false name when stopped on Fairground Road in Butler Township last June 7, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours community service. On a summary charge of exceeding the maximum speed limit was fined $61 plus $50 cost and on a charge of driving without a license fined $25 and $50 costs. Kranch was cited by Butler Township Lt. Daniel Holderman.

Megan Lynn Matousek, 19, of 634 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, on charges of simple assault and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. She also must undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and attend Anger Management classes. Matousek was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Bynon, last July 11.

Paisley, 26, of 74 Fawn Lane, Tamaqua R.D., DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, and license suspended 30 days. On a summary charge of failing to have rear lights working property was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Paisley was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Bynon, last Aug. 5.

Michael Lee Boyer, 44, Bloomsburg, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $40 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment and license suspended 30 days. Boyer was cited by Trooper Thomas Hornung last March 18 in Pottsville.

Allyson Mary Ladden, 52, Orwigsburg, DUI, $500 assessment, $300 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, and license suspended 30 days. On a summary charge of failing to stop at a red signal was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Ladden was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Charles B. Webber, last March 24.

Justin Lee Heiser, 24, Frackville, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $74.70 to Heath Network Laboratories, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, submit to random screens, and license suspended 30 days. On summary charges of disregarding a traffic lane and careless driving fined $50 plus $100 costs. Heiser was cited by Trooper Michael P. Becker last April 7 when stopped on SR61 near Frackville.

Kevin Paul Elenchin, 19, Pine Grove, DUI of drugs, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $380 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, undergo random screening and license suspended 90 days. Elenchin was cited by Trooper Michael Allar last April 23 on Louck Road in Washington Township.

Frederick Emil Kemfort III, 32, Pottsville, DUI, $500 assessment, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service, attend safety school, and license suspended 60 days. Fees was cited by Trooper Mark R. Demko last March 14 on SR61 in Blythe Township.

David Frank Pavlik, 59, Donaldson, Tremont Township, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, undergo random screening, and license suspended 60 days. On summary charges of being involved in accident by striking a parked vehicle on Mollystown Road in Tremont Township was fined $300 and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic fined $25 plus $100 costs. Pavlik was cited by Trooper Timothy Rymarkiewicza last May 31.

Lisa Marie Williams, 29, Minersvile, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE fund, 10 hours community service, attend safety school and license suspended 30 days. Williams was cited by Trooper Brian L Walters last May 7 on SR901.

William John Leslie, 21, Shenandoah Heights, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $180 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, undergo random screening, and license suspended 90 days. On a summary charge of not having rear lights working was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Leslie was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse, last June 5.

William Edward Sidella Jr., 30, Schuylkill Haven, DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service and license suspended 60 days. Sidella was cited by Trooper Thomas Hornung last July 9 on Sweet Arrow Lake Road in Pine Grove Township.

Ronald Frederick Sterner, 45, Orwigsburg, DUI, $500 assessment, $300 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment and license suspended 60 days. Sterner was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Kenneth A. Jacoby, last July 24.

Jeanne Cecilia Pelachick, 51, Pottsville, DUI, $500 assessment, $100 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, 10 hours community service, attend safety school and license suspended 60 days. Pelachick was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Kirk A. Becker, last September 4.

John Wassil Chelak, 42, Mahanoy City, DUI, $500 assessment, $300 SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, 10 hours community service, attend safety school and license suspended 60 days. Chelak was cited by Trooper Joseph Aponick last Sept. 4 in Mahanoy City.

David William Viars, 56, Palo Alto, DUI, $500 assessment, $300 to SAE fund, $50 each to CJEA and MCARE funds, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, 10 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment and license suspended 60 days. Viars was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey, last June 11.

Anthony Lopez, 19, Philadelphia, institutional vandalism, pay $50 to CJEA, 10 hours community service and make restitution of $495 to Penn State Schuylkill Campus, North Manheim Township.

Shawn David Hunter, 37, Schuylkill Haven, three counts each of forgery and theft, serve 18 months probation, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 15 hours community service, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and make restitution of $1,178.23 to Heiser's TrueValue Store, Orwigsburg. Hunter was cited by Trooper Todd W. Heintz last July 11.

Jared Thomas Stessalavage, 24, Orwigsburg, possession of a controlled substance and corruption of minors, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, $100 to SAE fund, and 10 hours community service. He was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner, last Aug. 12.

William John Glen Hoy, 34, Schuylkill Haven, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, $100 to SAE fund, and 10 hours community service. Hoy was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner, last August 4.

Ryan Michael Fehr, 21, Schuylkill Haven, corruption of minors, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours of community service. Fehr was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Warren J. Firing.

Charles Jacob Bressler, 21, Cressona, theft of a television and play station, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, 10 hours community service and make restitution of $1,862.90 to Aaron's Leasing Company, Pottsville. Bressler was cited by Pottsville Cpl. Mark D. O'Toole, last Aug. 1.

Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
