Lehighton police reported on the following arrests made by officers.
Helen Stuart, 48, of 253 Center St., Lehighton, has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and restrictions on alcohol. On Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at about 5:07 p.m., police were dispatched to a call of a female driver passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at the intersection of E. Penn St. and Blakeslee Blvd. That person was Stuart, police said. A blood test revealed a .30BAC.
Jeanne Thorpe, 39, of 119 W. Ridge St., Nesquehoning, was charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities. Thorpe was a passenger in a vehicle stopped in the area of 77 E. Penn St. on Jan. 7. When asked for identification, Thorpe gave false information to the officer three times.
Courtney Correll, 22, of 158 S. First St., Lehighton, has been charged with DUI, registration and certificate of title required, required financial responsibility, notice of change of name or address, driving while operating privileges is suspended or revoked, periods for requiring lighted lamps and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. The charges are the result of a traffic stop made near 24 Blakeslee Blvd. A blood test revealed a .19BAC, police said.
Police said a 13-year-old Lehighton male has been cited for underage consumption of a malt or brewed beverage. Police said on Sunday, Jan. 22, in the 200 block of S. Fourth St., officers were speaking with the teen and detected the odor of alcohol. The teen admitted to consuming a Blast 45 which is a malt or brewed beverage.
