Rush Township police responding to the scene of a reported crash found this vehicle into the woods off of Ben Titus Road in Hometown late Saturday. Police found the driver, John Cherba of Weatherly, outside Still Creek Tavern, located less than a mile from the accident. Police say charges for leaving the scene of an accident are pending. Responding in addition to township police were Tamaqua Rescue Squad and Hometown Fire Company. Township fire police volunteers detoured traffic around the scene while the vehicle - a grey Acura Legend sedan - was removed. Shown searching the area are patrolmen Carl Bachart and Adam Sinton.
