Lansford moving day

Lansford borough on Friday moved its offices from above the American Hose Co. No. 1, on East Patterson St., to the community center at 1 E. Ridge St.

The move was made because the Patterson Street offices have a mold issue and the building needs repair. The community center offices are expected to be open today. On Friday, workers with O'Brien's Moving and Storage, Allentown, hauled the contents of the Patterson street offices - everything from filing cabinets to desks to paper supplies and light bulbs - down the steep flight of stairs and over to the community center. There, Councilwoman Rose Mary cannon, secretary-treasurer Beth Seymour, borough businessman Bob Silver and patrolman Chris Ondrus worked to organize the new office.
