BOYS BASKETBALL

Pocono Mountain West-Lehighton

Pocono Mountain West cruised to a 72-22 Mountain Valley Conference victory over Lehighton.

The Panthers' Jon Amoroso led all scorers with a game-high 13 points, while Joe Wiggins chipped in with 10.

Nate Kresge finished with an Indians' high five points.

In the JV game, Pocono Mountain West scored a 69-23 win over Lehighton.

Northern Lehigh-Notre Dame (G.P.)

Northern Lehigh started off with a 22-point opening quarter, but had to hold off a late Notre Dame of Green Pond surge to score a 52-45 Colonial League victory on the road.

Caleb Johnson paced the Bulldogs with 19 points, while Devin Glose and Josh Pristach followed with 11 and 10 respectively.

The Crusaders' Connor Hughes matched Johnson's effort to tie for a game-high with 19 points.

Wilson jumped out to an early lead thanks to a 24-point opening quarter and never looked back to post a 68-42 Colonial League win over Palmerton.

The Warriors' Daye-Shawn Bailey and Phil Pierfy both finished with 17 points.

The Bombers' Tyler Svetik matched the Warriors' duo himself as he finished tied for a game-high 17 points, while Brett Snyder added double figures with 15.

In the JV game, Wilson scored a 55-36 win over Palmerton.

The Bears' Selwyn Wright scored nine of his game-high 14 points in the second half, while Nick Stanovick recorded six of his 12 in the last 16 minutes of play.

Jok Aslyo led the Cardinals with nine points.

Ryan Karnish's 18-point performance was enough to lift Marian to a 54-51 Schuylkill League victory over visiting Lourdes.

Karnish caught fire from beyond the arc to net five three pointers between the second and third quarters, while teammate Eric Swankoski followed by scoring seven of his double figure 12 in the fourth quarter.

The Red Raiders' Zach Chesney, Matt Savitsky and Michael Menapace all finished with 13 points.

Marian ran away with a 58-18 win over Lourdes in the JV game.
