Dear Editor:

I want to publicly thank St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital for their partnership with the Panther Valley Public Library. Through our joint efforts, we are going to provide the Panther Valley communities with some outstanding and informative programs and events.Upcoming programs and events include: Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash, which will be held on Friday March 2, at Our Lady of the Angels Academy, in Lansford. Through St. Luke's Miners private donations from their book drive, Lehigh Valley's Cops N Kids program, and Barnes and Nobles, each child and classroom will be receiving a FREE book. In May, there will informative and worthwhile Diabetes Educational Programs at our library. Also, there are other events in the works, including a Reading Rocks program at our library.These events and programs are being made possible by these wonderful staff members: Ms. Hollie Gibbons, MPH, RD, LDN, Manager Disease Prevention Programs, and Lauri Price, RN, who will be teaching the Diabetes Educational Programs. I give them and anyone who will be involved with these events and programs a heartfelt thank you. St. Luke's Miners is providing such a great service to the Panther Valley area.
