Drug paraphernalia, marijuana found

Vincinco Oriolo, 20, of 126 W. Miner St., Coaldale, was charged by borough police Officer Joseph Krebs with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Krebs had been dispatched to a neighboring home to investigate a gas odor at about 1:50 p.m. He smelled the gas and summoned the fire department. The fire chief checked and determined the odor was coming from the neighboring home. They knocked on the door and an Antonio Oriolo answered. They explained the situation, and Oriolo gave them permission to come in to investigate.While Krebs was making his way to the basement, he saw several smoking devices in plain view and a small amount of green vegetable matter scattered on the coffee table. Krebs asked Antonio who it belonged to, and Antonio said it was his brother's.Krebs collected the evidence, gave Antonio a voluntary statement form to fill out, which Antonio agreed to do.At that point, Vincinco came home. Krebs asked him about the devices and marijuana. Vincinco said he had no idea who it belonged to. Later that evening, Vincinco admitted the devices and marijuana were his.
