Both drivers involved in a crash in Schuylkill County have been cited. The crash is one of three reported by state police at Frackville, all occurring on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Troopers said a two vehicle crash occurred about 8:10 a.m. along SR54 in the area of Lakeside Ballroom, in Ryan Township. Troopers said Blair Hetherington, 17, of Ringtown, was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry westbound and lost control on the snow-covered road while negotiating a right curve. His vehicle struck the rear of a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Elsie Donella, 26, of Mahanoy City.

No one was injured but damages were severe to the Toyota and moderate to the Chevrolet. Troopers said Hetherington was cited for causing the crash and Donella was cited for driving with a suspended license.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 12:55 a.m. along SR895, near West Rauschs Rd., in East Brunswick Township. Troopers said Renato Rodriguez, 50, of Reading, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound when he lost control due to ice conditions. The vehicle went off the road on the left side and hit an embankment, then rolled over onto the driver's side. The vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane.

Rodriguez sustained a hand injury but refused medical treatment. Damages were moderate to the vehicle which had to be towed, troopers said.

Assisting troopers were volunteers from the New Ringgold Fire Company, ambulance and fire police.

Troopers investigated a crash about 5:22 a.m. on Sunday along Interstate 81 in Foster Township. Troopers said Nicholas Page, of New Philadelphia, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu southbound when the vehicle left the road on the west side, drove down a slight ditch which was snow-covered. Page attempted to get back onto the road but due to the snow he was unable to get out of the ditch.

Page and his passenger, Sandra Kennedy, of Pottsville, were not injured. The Malibu had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers said Page was cited for the crash.
