The annual Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society telethon committee Chinese auction will begin at noon Sunday, March 25 at Lakeside Ballroom, Route 54 in Barnesville. There will be chances to win prizes, 50/50 drawings and purchase food, baked goods and candy. Polka Joe will perform from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be entertainment by Cody Scott.

Drawing begins at 3 p.m. Top prizes include a Dell laptop computer, gift certificate for fuel oil, $1000 cash prize, NASCAR Sprint Cup Tickets, Apple ipad2 with Wi-Fi, Sony Reader, Gas gift card, Xbox 360, vacation packages, chain saw, muzzleloader, 32-in HD TV, and a microwave oven.Proceeds will be presented at the 23 annual ACS Telethon that airs April 14-15 at Penn's Peak and will broadcast live on BRC TV-13 and Service Electric cable TV.
