George and Susan Marcin of Lehighton have announced the Christmas engagement of their daughter Tara to Joshua Shollenberger, son of Jack and Donna Shollenberger of Palmerton.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Palmerton Area High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree from The Pennsylvania State University.She is employed by Uline Shipping Center as a trace representative.The prospective bridegroom is also a Palmerton graduate. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Kutztown University.He is employed by Calpine Bethlehem Energy Center as an operator/technician.A 2013 wedding is being planned.
