Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, were recently named Students of the Month for November for the 2012-2013 school year. They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of citizenship.

The following are quotes from each student.

Grade 2: Ryli McGory: "I was chosen for Student of the Month because I worked hard and I love our country."

Grade 3: Emilia Tenisci: "I was chosen for Student of the Month because I didn't save spots in line and I did not cut in line. I was kind."

Grade 5: Chad Eschbach: "I was chosen for Student of the Month because I do things when my teacher asks. I'm not wasteful. I stand up for what I believe. I do not call out."
