Two persons escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7;36 p.m. Dec. 17 on the ramp from Interstate 78 to State Route 100 in Upper Macungie Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Gustavo Herrera, 61, of Reading, was driving the 2000 Toyota Tundra on the ramp when he failed to negotiate a curve. Police said he was traveling too fast for conditions and lost control of the vehicle, which spun counter-clockwise, left the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its roof facing south.

Police said Herrera and his passenger, Mario Levaya, 29, also of Reading, were able to exit the vehicle without assistance.

Police said the driver will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
