About 200 adults and children took part in the Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Breakfast with Santa, which was held Saturday at the Lehighton Recreation.
After gathering their gifts and meeting with Santa Claus, the children and their parents and grandparents dined on pancakes and sausage. Entertainment was provided by "The Doctor" of Penn's Peak Radio.
Carbon Model Railroad Society provided a model train display at the event.
Some of the families have been coming to this event for years.
"This is our fifth year," said Rhoda Frank. "We really enjoy coming here."
For other, it was there first year, such as it was for Bea and Yumi Santos of Pennsburg.
Proceeds from the event will benefit several organizations, including Dream Come True, Toys for Tots, glasses for needy families, Friends of Animals cat shelter and other projects of Lions International.
Coordinating the project was Alicia Shutack-Silliman.
"We sold out this year," she said. "It was one of our best events ever."
Silliman said that Breakfast with Santa is one of the club's biggest fundraisers.
"Doing events for children is one of our missions," said Silliman.
