Chestnuthill Nursery receives PIC award

Every year, Pride In Chestnuthill (PIC) bestows the Chestnuthill Township Beautification Award to a business in the township for outstanding beautification of that property. Previous winners not only had a clean, well-kept property, but also planted flowers. PIC members say an attractive business, attracts business. This year the award was given to Chestnuthill Nursery by Janet Johnson, second from right. "Thank you very much. We've been in the West End for 35 years and it's a pleasure to work and live here," said Jim Scocozza, owner of Chestnuthill Nursery, right. Dave Johnson, PIC chairman said that his firm has been an honorable mention every year but never a winner because they felt since it is a nursery and landscaping business, it should look good but "finally we decided that you should receive the award because every year, every season, you do an outstanding job." Supervisor Chairman Chuck Gould thanked PIC for the great job they do to see that the community is kept clean of litter and looking good.
