Police in Nesquehoning reportedly are searching for an individual who tailed a UPS driver, then stole or destroyed packages he left on porches. Reports started to surface around 9:30 a.m. of a male individual dressed in a blue tie-dye shirt and shorts taking packages left by the driver off porches in the 200 block of West Catawissa street. It was reported earlier the suspect had asked the driver for a ride across town but it was denied because of company policy. A Larry NEff/TIMES NEWS short time later the driver looked back at some of his deliveries and spotted the same male removing the packages and in one instant destroyed the package. The suspect reportedly ran down N. Angelini Avenue and east along a set of railroad tracks. Nesquehoning police were joined in the search by officers from Lansford and Jim Thorpe.
