August 31, 1985 Joe Hartner scores on a pair of long touchdowns to help Northern Lehigh opens its season with a 25-12 comeback victory over Saucon Valley. Hartner breaks loose for a 58-yard scoring run and also recovers a fumble and takes it 84 yards to the end zone. The Bulldogs, coached by Mike Bonner, receive a 61-yard punt return for a TD from Barry Parham to help the team recover from a 12-0 deficit.
