Lehighton troopers make DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers.

About 1:56 a.m. on Aug. 22, troopers stopped Dane Evan Williams, 21, of Blakeslee, along Merwingsburg Road, west of SR115, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana. He was taken into custody and will be charged.At 8:52 p.m. on Aug. 23, troopers stopped Alan Michael Dunlap, 44, of Kunkletown, along Kunkletown Road, at Chestnut Ridge Drive, in Eldred Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI.At 8:12 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, troopers stopped John David, 41, of Palmerton, along Little Gap Road, near Hawk Farm Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for several motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.
