There was a short Pleasant Valley School District board of directors meeting on Aug. 9 with school directors Harvey Frable and James Spinola absent.

The board approved 7-0 to appoint Dr. Karin-Susan Breitlauch and Mrs. Jacqueline Mock as Western Pocono Community Library board members for three-year terms to expire in October 2015.

It also approved, 7-0 the School Resource Officer Agreement between PVSD and the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) for 2012-2013 and the Memorandum of Understanding between PSP and PVSD for 2012-2013 year.

The board voted 7-0 to approve the Memorandums of Understanding between the Pleasant Valley School District and the Pleasant Valley Educational Support Professionals' Association, ESPA, PSEA, NEA concerning:

*Tricia Altemose as bookkeeper (reassigned from administrative secretary) and Dorothy Baclawski as administrative secretary

The board approved 7-0:
