Nesquehoning Community Vacation Bible School will be held Aug. 6-10 at Meed's United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning. Programs begin at 9:30 and end at noon.

Everyone age 3-17 is invited to attend and enjoy the fun. This year's theme is Adventure's on Promise Island. Children will being experiencing God's promises to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego; Mary, Martha and Lazarus; Jesus, Paul and Silas. Stories, crafts, songs and snacks will be enjoyed. All are invited to stay for a free lunch in the church social room at noon.There will be a closing program held on Friday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. for parents, family and friends to attend.The mission for this year's VBS, will be St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Any donations taken in will be sent by the children to the children at St. Jude's.
