Ten area residents were among 28 who were qualified by District Attorney Karen M. Burns to be admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program recently.

The program is for first time offenders to be given a chance to clear their record. If they successfully complete the program their record is wiped clean. However, if the they fail to complete it they can face trial on all the charges filed against them. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

At a hearing in Schuylkill County court they were accepted into the program by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine who imposed several conditions. All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Nicholas C. Edmonds, 21, of 167 Gameland Road, Tamaqua R.D., charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Darte, last Sept. 10 with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, assessed $500 to defray cost of program, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, $50 to MCARE fund, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, receive outpatient treatment, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days.

Alysa C. Frey, 22, of 15 S. Tamaqua Drive, Tamaqua R.D., possession of drug paraphernalia, $350 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours of community service. Frey was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Rodgers, on March 5, 2011.

Karissa Carleen Hunara, 18, of 170 W. Spruce St., Tamaqua, DUI of drugs, assessed $500, pay $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete safety school, receive outpatient treatment, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 90 days. On a summary charge of careless driving was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Hunara was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Bynon, last June 18.

Jessica W. Wise, 25, of 133 Pine St., Tamaqua, DUI, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, receive outpatient treatment, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days. Wise was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner.

Lauren Elizabeth Gosch, of 2229 Summer Valley Road, New Ringgold, DUI, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete safety school, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days. Gosch was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner, last Aug. 13.

Chastity Yanetti, 28, of 521 Seybert St., Hazleton, criminal conspiracy, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass on Mazaika Coal Company property in Rush Township last July, placed for 24 months, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, perform 20 hours community service, and make restitution of $12,635 to the coal company. Yanetti also was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommended treatment. He was cited by Rush Township Cpl. Duane Frederick.

Matthew D. Reimiller, 23, of 26 S. Logan St., McAdoo, receiving stolen property, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. He was cited by McAdoo Patrolman Robert Merrick, last Aug. 28 charging he received jewelry stolen from 338 W. Blaine St.

Kenneth Michael Soini, 19, of 303 W. Blaine St., McAdoo, criminal trespass on property at 338 W. Blaine St. and loitering and prowling at night; placed for 18 months, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 20 hours community service. Soini was cited by McAdoo Patrolman Merrick, last Aug. 28.

Ana Marija Nguyen, 31, of 2 Market St., Kelayres, Kline Township, three counts of retail theft from stores in Schuylkill Mall, assessed $350; pay $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $207.80 to Gap Store, $164 to Bonton Store and $162.50 to Sears Store. Nguyen was cited by Trooper Thomas Powell last July 31.

Chelsea Leigh Martin, 20, of 56 Water St., New Philadelphia, possession of a controlled substance, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $113 to Bethlehem Crime Lab, and perform 10 hours of community service. Martin was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Paul R. Olson.

Peter D. Sevinsky, 60, Shenandoah, defrauding secured creditors, $350 assessment, $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $3,000 to Edward and Diane Bereschak, Topeka Ave., West Mahanoy Township. Sevinsky was cited by West Mahanoy Patrolman Raymond Tonkinson III. Police accused him of removing a truck on which a judgement was levied.

Nicholas Wilson Strock, 18, Hamburg, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Warren G. Firing, last July 20. He was assessed $350. pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service.

Dreena Nicole DiMaggio, 19, Dorchester, Mass., possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when stopped by Trooper Jim Donnini on April 15, 2011, on Interstate 81 in Pine Grove Township. She was assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service.

Shawn Riley, 30, Ashland, theft and criminal conspiracy, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours community service, and make restitution of $21.18 to Walmart Store in Saint Clair. Riley was cited by Patrolman Martin H. Sterner, last Sept. 4.

Chad Michael Reiner, 20, Tremont, criminal mischief, assessed, $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. Reiner was cited by Trooper Chad Smith last May 21 claiming damaged a bulldozer owned by Natural Soil Products, Frailey Township.

Kimberly Chimokosky, 41, Schuylkill Haven, theft of services and criminal conspiracy, assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours of community service. She was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Vincent J. McDonald.

Brandon Michael Sterner, 26, Orwigsburg, possession of drug paraphernalia, $350 assessment, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. On a summary charge of failing to obey a traffic control device was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Sterner was cited by Orwigsburg Patrolman Scott R. Davis, last Oct. 23.

Vinni Singh, 42, Orwigsburg, DUI, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 MCARE fund, $50, complete safety school, perform 10 hours community service, and there was no license suspension. Singh was cited by Trooper Eric L. Reber when stopped on the Municipal Road in West Brunswick Township last Sept. 3.

Justin M. Albertini, 24, Pottsville, DUI, assessed $500. pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $180 to Schuylkill Medical Center, receive outpatient treatment, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days. On a summary charge of disregarding a traffic lane was fined $25 plus $50 costs. He was cited by Trooper Alyssa J. Becker when stopped on ST61 in Saint Clair last Aug. 11.

Andre Vanco Georgevic, 30, Schuylkill Haven, DUI, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete safety school, perform 10 hours of community service, and license suspended 30 days. Georgevic was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman William I. Horn.

Christopher Thomas Czarick, 30, Schuylkill Haven, DUI, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete safety school, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 30 days. Judy Bressler, 43, Port Cargon, DUI, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service, and there was no suspension of license. On a summary charge of disregarding a traffic lane was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Bressler was cited by Trooper Robert Oakley when stopped on SR443 in Wayne Township, last Oct. 14.

Carissa NIcole Donton, 25, Schuylkill Haven, DUI, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days. On a summary charge of disregarding the traffic lane fined $25 plus $50 costs. Donton was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Joseph J. Krammes, last Nov. 6.

Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
