Fifteen defendants in pending criminal cases were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program for first time offenders on Tuesday by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record will be wiped clean. However, if the fail to complete the program, or are revoked from it, the Commonwealth reserves the right to prosecute them on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.

David J. Boyle Jr., 26, of Nesquehoning, was placed on a charge of driving under the influence (DUI). He was arrested on Oct. 23, 2011, along Market St., in Summit Hill. Given a test, the result was .21BAC.

He was assessed $450 for the program, and ordered to get a drug and alcohol (D&A) evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, license suspended for 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

William Fallon Brown, 47, of Catasauqua, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Nov. 28, 2011, along SR209 in Franklin Township. Given a test, the result was .19BAC.

He was assessed $450, license suspended 60 days, get a D&A evaluation, and render 50 hours of community service.

Dylan Thomas Craig-Zelena, 19, of Palmerton, was placed on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on Sept. 25, 2011, at the Blue Mountain Ski area in Lower Towamensing Township, by state police at Lehighton.

He was assessed $350, get a D&A evaluation, and render 50 hours of community service.

Steven Nicholas Curry, 30, of White Haven, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Oct. 11, 2011, along SR940 in East Side Boro by state police at Fern Ridge. Given a test, the result was .15BAC.

He was assessed $400, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Terry L. Eschbach Sr., 55, of Palmerton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Oct. 22, 2010, along SR209 in Lansford. Given a test, the result was .16BAC.

He was assessed $400, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Kelly Ann Flowers, 48, of Palmerton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Dec. 13,2011, along SR209 in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. Given a test, the result was .14BAC.

She was assessed $400, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended 30 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Mary Robyn Hill, 41, of Lansford, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Sept. 23, 2011, along Water St., in Lansford. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $450, get a D&A evaluation, zero tolerance on D&A use, license suspended 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Michael Kabana, 22, of Tamaqua, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Dec. 25, 2011, at White and Oak sts., Summit Hill. Given a test, the result showed the presence of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $450, get a D&A evaluation, zero tolerance on D&A use, license suspended 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Kevin Kuklinski, 22, of Freeland, was placed for two years on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Dec. 20, 2011, at Eurana Park in Weatherly.

He was assessed $350, get a D&A evaluation, and render 100 hours of community service.

Timothy Frank Kurchak, 28, of Lansford, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on June 26, 2011, along Bertsch St., Lansford. Given a test, the result was .29BAC.

He was assessed $450, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Dominic Frank Manno, 21, of Rosehawn, N.J., was placed on a theft charge. He was arrested on Jan. 5 by state police at Lehighton for an incident in Lower Towamensing Township in which James Gallagher is the listed victim.

He was assessed $350, ordered to make restitution in an amount to be determined by the adult probation office, and render 50 hours of community service.

Devon Scott Pfeiffer, 22, of Allentown, was placed on charges of DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on Sept. 3, 2011, along SR248 in Bowmanstown. Given a test, the result showed the presence of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $450, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Matthew William Price, 24, of Coaldale, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Nov. 24, 2011, along Hazard St., in Summit Hill. Given a test, the result was .30BAC.

He was assessed $450, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Michael Paul Tekin, 46, of Danielsville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Nov. 23, 2011, along Maury Road in Franklin Township. Given a test, the result was .11BAC.

He was assessed $400, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 30 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Trish Ann Wolbach, 41, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Nov. 19, 2011, along Mauch Chunk Road, in Palmerton. Given a test, the result showed the presence of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $450, get a D&A evaluation, zero tolerance on D&A use, license suspended for 60 days, and render 50 hours of community service.

Each defendant must also pay court costs, which average about $1,000, and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
