Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers.
On April 16 about 7:21 p.m. officers observed what appeared to be a domestic incident occurring between a male and female in the parking lot of the Wawa store at state routes 115 and 940. The two subjects then left the lot with the male driving. The vehicle then pulled into a closed business and a few moments later the vehicle exited with the female driving.
Police then pulled behind the vehicle when it pulled up to the gas pumps at the Wawa. Police then investigated the possible domestic incident and the reason for changing of drivers. The investigation revealed the male, identified as Eugene Osellanie, 43, of Scotrun, had a suspended license for a prior DUI conviction and was under the influence. He refused to submit to a blood test. Police said he will be charged with DUI and related offenses.
The second DUI occurred about 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, along SR196 near McNamara Lane, in Tobyhanna. Police made a traffic stop after they observed several motor vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Marcus Allen Cardona, 22, of Tannersville.
Cardona was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to the state police barracks at Fern Ridge for a breath test that revealed a .16BAC.
Charges will be filed, police added.
