Touring under the name "Live on Stage, The Rain Forest", the non-profit group will be holding shows every day this week in our area. Hundreds of kids and adults enjoyed the show Monday night in the gymnasium of the Tamaqua Elementary School. The show, which was founded in 1992 and directed by Mike Kohlrieser, consisted of comedy routines and live monkeys, exotic birds, alligators, jungle cats, snakes and other animals. Other showings will be held today at the Peters Elementary School in Slatington at 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Lehighton Area Middle School at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at the Drums Elementary/Middle School at 7 p.m. and Friday at the S.S. Palmer Elementary School in Palmerton at 6:30 p.m. Children under 3 don't require donations. For more information, visit www.understandingwildlife.org.
