Carbon GOP hosts egg hunt

Carbon County GOP recently hosted its inaugural Easter Egg Hunt at Downtown Lehighton Lower Park. It was originally planned for Saturday, March 31, but was rescheduled due to rainy weather. Open to children up to the age of 11, the event featured candy-filled eggs, as well as "lucky eggs" that contained a ticket to claim a larger prize. "We did this for the children. We also wanted to let the people of Carbon County know that we're not here just to be a political party," said organizer Jeremy Glaush. "We are here to be part of the community, to support local businesses, and to make sure that the future of Carbon County is bright." Sara Glaush also helped to organize the event. Additional sponsors included Alfie's Pizza, Castle Grill, and Diggity Dogs and more.
