An Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 at the Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport.

The event will include tractor drawn hayrides along the historic canal, pumpkin patch, homemade food and children's activities. This event is catering to seniors, elderly individuals and people with disabilities.

Families with young children are also invited to attend. Hay rides will be held every 20 minutes, from 10 a.m. throughout the day.

Groups, families and individuals are invited to visit the historic Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport during the height of the fall foliage experience. There will be a variety of children's activities, homemade food served with restaurant style table service to especially accommodate seniors and people with disabilities.

Donations will be accepted for hay rides.

This event is being sponsored by L-TNT Pyrotechs Inc., Walnutport, which will provide the tractors and transportation and drivers; Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission, which is opening the park gates and welcoming everyone to this event; Walnutport Canal Association, which will provide the hay wagons; and the newly-chartered Beltzville Lions Club, which will be serving the community through this event.
