The recent heavy rains caused a washout to the truck runoff on the Broad Mountain in Nesquehoning, forcing it to be closed. A sign at the top of the

mountain warns of the closure. Before the runoff was built, the mountain road wasthe scene of many accidents in which trucks lost their brakes, careened down the road, and crashed at the intersection of busy Route 209.
