Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers.

One DUI arrest occurred as the result of a motor vehicle accident. On Sunday, Sept. 18, about 12:55 a.m. officers responded to SR196, north of Echo Lake Road, for a vehicle into a tree.The driver, identified as Zhongren Wang, 21, of Flushing, N.Y., was not injured but was found to be under the influence.He refused to submit to a blood test and will be charged with DUI, police said.On Sept. 17 at about 1:27 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop along Country Place Drive and Orchard Lane, in Tobyhanna, for an equipment violation.The driver, identified as Emery Memminger, 33, of Tobyhanna, was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests.He refused to submit to a blood test and will be charged with DUI, police said.
