Rep. Jerry Knowles (R-Berks/Schuylkill) will host a town hall meeting to discuss local property tax reform on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Blue Mountain High School Auditorium, 1076 W. Market St., Schuylkill Haven.

Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Reps. Mike Tobash (R-Schuylkill/Berks), Neal Goodman (D-Schuylkill) and Seth Grove (R-York) will also attend.

"Property tax is a statewide issue that hits home for the residents in my district," said Knowles. "By holding this meeting, I hope that the public will learn about some of the complexities that surround this issue and they will leave with information that will better explain the elements of property tax and how it impacts our district."

The town hall meeting will give community members an opportunity to voice their concerns and take part in a question-and-answer session with the representatives. This meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation by Grove, a leader in the property tax reform effort, who will explain some of the history of property taxes and identify the challenges of addressing the issue.
