Tamaqua Area School District won appeals before the Schuylkill County Assessment Appeals Board following hearings held in the courthouse in Pottsville.

The board increased the market value and assessment on 34 properties which exist in the boundary of the school district. The assessment increase totaled $1,117,430, which will mean additional tax revenue not only for the school district but also for Tamaqua and New Ringgold boroughs and the townships of West Penn, Rush and Schuylkill, who will share from the action taken by the school district.The assessment board increased the market value and assessment on the following:Erik V.
