State police at Frackville are investigating a home invasion incident that occurred on Saturday, Sept. 10, at a residence at 23 15th St., Ringtown, Union Township.
Troopers said two males, one white and one black, entered the residence about noon and confronted Robert Tabourn, 20, and Ryan Forgotch, 18. Also in the home at the time was Tabatha Kilkenny, 19, and a 10-month-old male child.
Troopers said the two demanded money and were brandishing handguns. Both Tabourn and Forgotch were physically assaulted by the intruders.
The black male assaulted Forgotch by kicking and punching him while the white male assaulted Tabourn with his fists, feet and the handgun.
During the struggle with Tabourn, which occurred in the master bedroom, one of the handguns discharged, but no one was injured.
The two left the home. A green, four-door sedan was seen in the area and may have provided the two robbers transportation to and from the scene.
Tabourn received moderate injuries to his head, face and torso; and Forgotch minor injuries to his torso. Both refused medical treatment. Kilkenny and the child were not injured in the incident.
Troopers asked anyone with information concerning this incident to call them at (570) 874-5300.
